Cuomo said on Tuesday that he speaks to the city's wealthiest residents 'every day', begging them to come back

Like at least 75% of the upper middle/upper class kids from "Christian" families down here were/are on pills. Half my middle school church league basketball team is dead from drugs. Their parents also forcibly pushed my mom/grandparents out of the voting congregation because they weren't rich enough.
Very wholesome Christlike people for sure. My family still wonders why I detest the church.
"Rural" southern town life is great as a kid until high school. Then it just turns into clique lifestyle, drugs, and getting arrested.
You are all making me appreciate growing up in Madison more and more.
I grew up in a nice, relatively wealthy pre-war town of about 20k, right off a major commuter line into the city. It fucking sucked growing up with hardly anything to do except congregate at the park. Visiting as an adult I love the place, but I totally get why heavy drugs were rampant in my high-school (with at least one notable OD death during my 4 years).
that is wild
