Woops I split rent, didn't know what you wanted. The unit is 1630. Most stuff in this area hovers around there, but we weren't looking beyond 2k which was roughly 1200sf (that was our last apt). Wait until you hear about my 800 dollar garden level unit I lived in after undergrad - boy now that was a shithole, but fabulous neighborhood.
Shitty traffic comes from poor/nonexistent transit systems. Which can be a failing of the cities as well.
My area has shitty traffic, but that is because to commute to LA there is a bottleneck point to the south. Inner city driving isn’t bad, and they have an extensive bike/walking trail that basically allows you to get anywhere in the city.
@Zoob, the media didn’t have to fake cities being bad. Living in the city sucks.
I've been seeing a kinda disturbing commercial lately. It looks innocent at first with images of people protesting, holding up signs, etc. But then at the end there is this message:
"All lives can't matter until Black Lives Matter."
Ok, so who decides when black lives matter? I would post the commercial but I can't find it on Youtube.
i dunno, maybe black lives?
seems like a stupid question to me. it's like when i see straight people freaking out over the "gay agenda" as if i'm demanding all the hot straight guys strip down for my pleasure or something. nice as that might be, i just want equal rights and to be able to hold a boyfriend's hand in public without getting dirty glares or having a big fuss made over it, just being treated as a regular person. i just want to not have to worry about my boss firing me or treating me unequally in pay or opportunities for it. i want to not have to worry about being mistreated by the police for it, or being lynched in public for it, or being outcast by society for family for it, or being treated as lesser for it, simply because i love someone of the same sex.
why would it be any different for them? maybe they get to decide when black lives matter. maybe they get to decide that enough is enough - when they are valued and respected for what they are, not what amount of melanin they have.
I can’t believe I have to explain this slogan as it’s been popular for months...but:
All Lives Matter is a response to Black Lives Matter in order to silence black voices.
Which means the All lives Matter don’t actually care about whether black lives matter
Black is part of all, so how can someone say All Lives Matter and not realize that the statement isn’t true until Black Lives Matter.
And Black Lives Matter when we start combating the system that makes their lives less valuable (to the system) than white lives.
It's a pretty old idea, i'm not sure why it should unnerve you "What man is or ever was born free, if every man is not?".
All lives won't matter until, well, they all do.
As for who decides? idk equal treatment under the law would be a good place to start, I'm really struggling to understand why this is disturbing.
all lives wont matter until you admit that you are complicit in racism because you were born white, get down on your knees and beg for forgiveness and turn in your white privilege
everyone has to pay each black person on BG $10 before they leave the site today
White people did this to themselves. Don't feel sorry for yall at all.
if all white people arent evil then why did they choose to be white?
