Confirmed D11k doesn't know what he's talking about. They even emphasize in the academy you only use lethal force if there is imminent danger to you or a civilian.

Whether or not police follow that rule though has been highly disputed and proven to be full of shit half the time.

sure, my whole schtick was im sure there are clips of white people with guns/etc waving at police where they didn't get shot that would be better to push this race agenda. overall poor choice and no idea why it went viral

Okay if he had a gun in his car, a car which apparently had his 3 kids in it(going off a post I read a page or so ago so if there werent kids in the car, you can literally stop here), don't you think maybe they were acting to protect more than themselves? Even if you don't think that, can you give them the benefit of the doubt and assume if he managed to successful get in his car, with 3 kids as body shields and a gun, he'd be a much bigger threat + possibility of collateral injury than a man with a knife ignoring police orders?

If you guys have listened to anything I've said in this thread, you know I'm not a hard-line Cop defender... but in this instance I think the police made the right call. They have every reason to believe this was a dangerous man, and with the possibility of children being used as hostages things could go from bad to worse with a moments notice. I think they made the right call as horrible as it is, and at least the man is alive.

D44k pay attention here. This is a reasonable, intelligent counter post.

Had he jumped in and tried to start it up, that would get closer to it. Though it's still making a lot of assumptions.

I hope that was their train of thought, as it makes it a bit more palatable, but I still disagree with the use of deadly force as a precautionary action.
