It is incredible how far the left will go to defend any and all persons who are against the cops. That was exactly my point, there was no outcry for the death of David who died at the hands of a thug. Then you have people who creating more rioting and outcries for a man who was a drunk driver (to the point he passed out) and resisted arrest after the cops tried to reason with him for over 25m. He then assaulted them while resisting arrest and fled, took one of their weapons and aimed it at the cops. You're advocating for the complete pacifying of anything police related. You think without guns, or any way to subdue the criminal, the situation would have been better? He was proven to be violent when he assaulted the cops, if they let him get away he could have ended up killing or physically harming someone else and that blame would be right back on the cops. Stop defending criminals and advocating for them like they are saints.

What really fucking irks me about that case is they waited 2-3 minutes to BEGIN medical assistance. I'm 99% sure they are BLS certified. This was a 2 person rescue. They couldn't have done a worse job if they had tried to let him die. And maybe they did.

I simply used it to compare to David (who people were making fun of) and said they place these criminals on pedestals and cry out in vengeance in the media, but NOTHING similar happened to David Dorn! The two cops who tried to subdue that criminal were probably 5'5 and pudgy, because these days you must accept any and all into any organization, regardless of merit or realistic standards.

Dude, you're basically doing an "ALL VIOLENCE MATTERS" rallying cry. If you can't see why people are more upset at people dying to cops (who are the ones on a pedestal, not criminals) than to civilian on civilian crime then you're being willfully ignorant. Police are the ones we depend on to not fuck up because they are the ones granted the authority over civilians by the state. No one is happy that Dorn died but nothing similar happened because he was killed by an opportunistic criminal.

We are talking about systemic racism and hardships the black community is going through. Police aren't the sole issue in that problem or maybe you are the one tunnel visioning on whatever CNN is pedaling at the time.

Rethinking how police work, especially in communities of color, will go a long way toward helping exactly this issue.

You're advocating for the complete pacification of the police force. They might as well be abolished and we can use feel good troopers to talk criminals out of their bad deeds. You can criticize any profession in this country with a fine comb and find problems. The justice system itself is extremely flawed, you're focusing on an aspect that doesn't have much control in terms of changing things. The change has to come from the top down and these sensationalized stories of criminals being the beacons for change is just hurting the cause.
