What might be more interesting is to correlate leadership over the past 50 years to political parties in major cities, changes in budget, enacting of new/modified policies, and the usual crime/race data. But that chart might be too complex for some.

I don’t even know why this is an issue. Can’t we just simply say both parties have done nothing to curb the justice/police department’s behavior for whatever reason?

I really don’t care whether it’s a dem or repub city. It’s happening in all of them. Big cities, small towns, the whole country.

This has little to do with pointing fingers at parties and everything to do with setting the police up as saviors who never should be criticized leading to extremely bad policies to protect them.
