I mean:

Back in March there was a lot of it and it was focused in urban areas (a lot in NYC). Now there's almost the same amount of it and it's fucking everywhere.
We're in an objectively worse place than we were back when we started lockdown.
I'm sure it's fine, let's go to the beach y'all
Wonder how long I'll be in the office til they tell me to GTFO and WFH again.
I'm honestly expecting mid/late July to late September before we order work from home orders again.
Great, fantastic timing.

We have no plans to return to the office until September but unofficially I've been told that we're not going back this year.

The solution is pretty obvious. Just stop testing and the number of cases will drop, duh.
Lockdowns have a "COVID is over" after effect on public once over. Hopefully with time people will get used to the "new normal" and act in vigilance in every part of their lives.
We were expecting bosses and extra less essentials that could wfh to return at the end of June. Now it's looking like mid July. Even better, the main office and part of the company is in Houston and when they make decisions they broad stroke the rest of the facilities, and with the huge spike in Texas/Houston that means it might be even longer until bosses come back.
No bosses means Netflix and gaming on my laptop all day. It's the best. Stay at home people lol.
My cities mayor (Austin, TX) just extended the 'Stay home work safe' order to August 5th. Which means I know I am not going back till at least after that. My company has been doing it's best comply with the various states as much as possible. Workers in my building still popping positive for COVID-19 though.
So glad I work from home.
Unofficial for me is that we wont be pressured to go back in this year basically. Pretty wild.
I’m also here and do contracting with one of our pharma companies (which thankfully has excellent policies). Because of this I’m still on the road most days. In the past few weeks it’s essentially returned almost 100% to business as usual as far as how many people are out and about.
Y'all are so lucky. Makes my life easier.

They're considering new stay at home orders in Houston with the spikes other states are seeing. Our county judge tried a mandatory mask order, but our fuck head governer Abbott swooped in and killed that. Plus all the shit that idiots gave Judge Hidalgo for said order. The stupid is at an all time high here in TX but can't say I'm surprised.
Some good news though...
