I don't spend a lot of time thinking about vision correction though because 20/20 master race

We're down to about 175 hospitalizations in CT. Think we peaked at 1k-1.2k. Infection rate has been about 2%
Phase 2 re-opening was this past Wednesday for us which included some indoor dining, movie theaters, nail salons, etc.
Looked and its good for people with up to -6.00 vision, so that's still within my range. Problem is the cost of the doctor and fitting exams in the United states is often pricey, often 1000 dollars or more. The lenses last for a few years though.
But fuuuuck glasses. I look bad in them, and they drive me crazy feeling them on my face and having to push them back up all the time, plus the fogging up, especially with masks now....and glass? Near my eyes? NO. THANKIES.
OMG.. the video of the woman who's against masks.
I caught just a snippet of it on Kimmel the other night but I was out of the room at the time so I didn't hear the whole thing. Thanks for posting it a few pages back. I was nearly in tears! XD

This truly is outrageous, such a preventable disaster. Cuomo, Murphy, Whitmer and others who oversaw the policy of discharging known COVID-19 positive patients into nursing homes should be held accountable for their absolute reckless idiocy. In the weeks that followed the March 25 order, COVID-19 tore through New York state’s nursing facilities, killing more than 6,000 people — about 6% of its more than 100,000 nursing home residents. In all, as many as 4,500 COVID-19 infected patients were sent to nursing homes across the state, according to a count conducted by The Associated Press.
States that issued orders similar to Cuomo’s recorded comparably grim outcomes. Michigan lost 5% of roughly 38,000 nursing home residents to COVID-19 since the outbreak began. New Jersey lost 12% of its more than 43,000 residents.
In Florida, where such transfers were barred, just 1.6% of 73,000 nursing home residents died of the virus. California, after initially moving toward a policy like New York’s, quickly revised it. So far, it has lost 2% of its 103,000 nursing home residents.
100% agree. What in the absolute fuck were they thinking?

Brazil now has over 1m cases and 49k deaths with over 1200 deaths per day for the last week.
So where you send them with no hospital room?

We won't DC to SNF without two consecutive negative sendouts.
Presumably, these weren't ICU patients. New York def had medical beds available. They aren't sending critical covid 19 cases to SNFs on vents. These were presumably asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic cases that were still highly contagious. They should have went to a stepdown covid medical unit.
Never been a fan of Maher to begin with, but the guy has become the poster boy for keeping capitalism alive at the cost of your health. I know he's a comedian and kept thinking this was satire, but the guy is 100% serious. It's creepy in a propaganda type of way.

Very cringeworthy tbh. He really is out of touch, most of the millennial's are in their 30s already.
Draylo is spot on here. He's incredibly out of touch with the problem - millennial gripe numero uno is not being able to afford to do these things, and he's saying to help society they should go out and spend money.
He's a SmugSnifferthrough and through.
