before you start in on 'it's not even an antiviral!' the fucking drug works for both malaria and lupus. we don't know why some drugs work.

the whole QT Prolongation thing is laughable. i know for you, with no medical knowledge, it sounds scar. how hard is it to check an ecg? sure, if the qtc is >500 it's prob best to avoid. but this is a rare situation.

IDK about you, but I watch commercials for medicine every day that treats mundane shit and has side effects like Kidney Failure, Death, cancer, internal bleeding, blah blah blah. Sure your seasonal allergies are less aggressive, sorry about being blind though.

Because orange man jumped ahead to say it was an "amazing cure all" to deceive people into thinking there was a cure and we should all be gtg. the people who had this cure/information could make a lot of money withholding it via any plethora of market forces (stock market, currency, letting others appear weaker)

and they could have a plethora of political power as well. if the cure comes under a biden presidency instead of a trump presidency for example.
