So update on my mom's office. I was incorrect. 5 employees went home Monday with a fever, then 5 more sent home yesterday.

The test for the first 5 on Monday all came back positive.

Office refuses to test everyone. They will only test if symptomatic.

They were told that if a family member test positive they're still required to come to work unless symptomatic.

This is at a fucking doctor's office. Like holy shit they're playing with fire.

They aren't playing with fire. They are getting burned. If 10 people have already popped hot and it has a 2-3 day incubation period / is transmissible in asymptomatic patients, most/all of them probably have it already.

Oh my God. It gets deeper. Two of the primary physicians were positive three weeks ago and were told to return before having a negative test, and they were never tested again.

We've known this since at least mid-February, but hey, science isn't real and we can't trust those damned scientists because Trump said not to because they make him look bad. Cognative dissonance.

Hell I remember getting the facemask guide at my work in January, showing what kind of mustaches and beards can be properly worn while keeping the mask safe, and on that guide, it specifically said not to overly fiddle with or adjust the mask, and TO REFRAIN FROM TOUCHING ONE'S FACE UNTIL YOUR HANDS COULD BE SANITIZED.

i learned so much about all this shit in april and knew absolutely nothing pre-covid. shit gave me legit nightmares for the longest time 'cause i learned my work shared ventilation with 2 other properties and if anyone in their offices, that were nowhere near us nor had anything to do with us, had an outbreak that meant we all had it too.

eventually all that shit got updated and rerouted, but man i wish i didn't know that shit early on and only my gm knew as well. everyone else was oblivious while it was getting worked on
