I feel bad for them cause the federal help is drying up in a few weeks and they're just now starting the sickness pains of covid that NY and broward/Miami have been having (maybe LA idk if they shutdown in-house dining). Sucks to go through it but if you were, you wanted to do it months ago not right now.

The lack of help from the federal gov is forcing people to be fucking crazy with this shit. If they would've done a proper UBI at the start of all this, people wouldn't be pressured to go back to work or work as if everything is back to normal. Instead we had some ridiculous ass fucking bailout that did nothing.

A coworker said she's been getting calls from these predatory ass people about selling their house for cash. I can't imagine how many people are gunna end up selling their home for some shitty amount because they're desperate

another update from my work:

just got the tentative game plan from my boss. according to him, once the mask mandate goes into effect tommorrow, we're gonna have the sign at the door saying masks required to shop, etc. i think he's going to be staying later than normal and possibly being at the entrance to keep an eye out for customers, turning them away at the door as well, to hopefully keep them from entering without a mask in the first place, but if someone comes up at a cashiers line without a mask, we're supposed to just call the manager, not serve them, apologize and say that we have to get the manager because they don't have one, and let the manager deal with it. said manager can then kick the customer out of the store, call the cops if need be, or whatever.

he doesn't have high hopes of the cops actually coming or fining customers or anything, though to be fair, we're the only grocery store in chocolay, and they don't really have much else to do for the most part. i wouldn't be surprised of they just hang out all day in our store to keep an eye out on things. hell, they might be downright gleeful for the chance to hand out all those fines - isn't that money for the police department at 500$ a pop? <_< we'll see, but i have a feeling things are gonna be... interesting.

if you don't hear from me again well... i either finally succeeded in learning to teleport to another universe, or you can now probably mark me as another victim of human stupidity from this damn mask business. pray it was the teleportation spell. >:O

Dane County, Wisconsin (where Madison is) just implemented a mask order. Only city or county in the state requiring masks. Very dumb.
