This also has to do with testing as well. 2 months ago, you weren't getting tested until you were severely symptomatic. Now we are testing asymptomatic cases and people with very mild symptoms. Early intervention is definitely helping.

yea the whole early intubation thing definitely killed thousands early on. fucking china. italy sort of figured it out but early on it was still recommended here.

patients recover 12% faster with hydroxychloroquine, possibly have more diarrhea (covid causes diarrhea too fyi), yet this somehow proves it doesnt work? do the people writing this study know why we give tamiflu? how much faster do influenza patients recover with it? and the side effects of tamiflu? sure it's a negative study but i wouldnt say this is necessarily "adding to the case against hydroxychloroquine."

The Trump administration does not want to fund testing or contact tracing, because the numbers are not only real but they're aware that if anything they're heavily under reported and know that the worse it gets the worse it looks for the incompetent President who did nothing to help slow or stop the pandemic. So their strategy is just let as many people die as may and simply lie about it.
