Sharks picked up Donato from the wild for a 2021 3rd rounder. Also still interested in Dubnyk. I have no idea how as I thought our cap situation was fucking dire, unless they have convinced Jones to waive his NTC?

Ok, according to cap friendly, prior to this trade, we were sitting on 12.2mil in cap space, and out of our UFA/RFA's, Melker Karlsson, Joe Thorton, and Kevin Leblanc are the only ones of note. So hopefully t his won't impact us too much.

Missed Donato's name already reflected in our capfriendly, so it's 12.2mil after the trade.

Well, we still have 4 more years of Jones, counting this upcoming season. I really don't see the point of dumping another 4.75mil onto the cap from another goalie (even though it's only for a year before he's a UFA) when we already got 5.6mil per year tied up in Jones, unless he's moving on. Makes no sense to me.
