Why would I come to a hockey thread to point out that it’s disgusting for someone to run over another human being with a motorized vehicle? Does that even need to be said? And there's just as many idiots on the other side that thinks it is acceptable. The fact of the matter is athletes from all sports are speaking out now about systematic violence against people of color, so of course it's going to filter into sports threads. Just because they are an athlete doesn't mean they've signed away their right to speak up or protest.

Also the only person getting mad at the discussion is you, so maybe should look in a mirror on what the problem is instead of name calling and getting angry.

Everyone here (other then you and Nynja) is saying a guy who is okay with supporting someone who perpetuates violence got a small small small taste of his own medicine and they're okay with it. That's it. No one is saying that people should be attacked all the time violently for disagreeing with each other.

And my argument is that whichever candidate you support, you’re directly supporting something that someone else sees as unsavory. Except they don’t come and hit you for it. You and others seem to think it’s ok to hit people for their political ideals so long as the people getting hit are on the opposing side since you have the morale high ground and they’re just getting a taste of their own oppressive medicine, or something to that effect. Which is just riddled in flawed logic.

Except that they have champ. Melena's post is an exact example of where one side literally murdered 2 people who supported another side. And that one side is being encouraged by their leader to continue doing these acts of violence as a form of patriotism. And that's not even close to the only act of violence done.

We're all saying people who are anti-Trump have been shot and teargassed and run over with cars (on multiple occasions) and arrested without due process by secret police and assaulted time and time and time again over the last couple years, and because of ALL OF THAT SHIT, we're okay with 1 douche getting punched in the face in a bar.
