Yeah it's really not that hard to draft a RB who will lead the league in various categories over multiple seasons on his rookie contract in the 5th round.

the saints have been a top 10 rushing team for essentially every year drew brees has been on the team. i wouldn't worry about who's back there.

and think about it like this: the saints used a 3rd round pick and probably got the best years alvin kamara will have in his career 'cause that's just how the running back positions works. if you can turn your initial 3rd round pick, get 3-4 productive years out of him, and then you get yourself a fresh new running back to use and abuse completely for free for another 3-4 more years. on top of the fact the team doesn't have to worry about ever paying their running back. man, that's one hell of a win
