Random fun fact: When I was 16 and living in Japan for a year (Dad was there deployed) we basically got tickets for like a Japanese country side tour seeing the different provinces, etc. We were rolling through one of the Country Field areas and not kidding at all... saw some elderly Japanese farmer chasing some young japanese dude with a pitch fork and shovel. It shocked the hostess and all of us just sat there in the bus looking at what was happening.

Can confirm, Japanese country bumpkins will chase you old school pitchfork style.
