can BG law people clarify that? does TRUMP lose his 5th amendment protection cause of that? or does Flynn? I'm not exactly sure what the consequences for that would even be if any.
I know the 5th amendment basically prevents people from being forced to testify against themselves, I just dunno how this would come into play.
Sounds like Flynn, since he already pled guilty, which is admission of wrong doing.
Im no lawyer tho.
The point isn't that it's bad for him, it's that he could testify against Trump regarding crimes they committed together
It's lib fantasy nonsense, Trump isn't going to be prosecuted for shit he did as president.
As president no, but Flynn's stuff came from before Trump inauguration. So they could go after him for all the transition stuff that's hinted at in the Mueller report.
Who cares, new york's got him on taxes. Idk if he's going to jail, strong doubt, but he's pleading guilty to something in the next 4 years. Just too juicy and too easy for some upstart prosecutor to make a name for themselves.

Agreed, unlikely he sees jail time, and unfortunately, it won't do anything to stop him from running again in 2024.
Man, I remember when Alberta forced Rachel Notley to resign over using taxpayer funds to fly her and her family on a vacation lol.
Trump has averaged about 2 golf outings a week during his presidency, so we are well past that point.
The notable part here is that they flew a trivial distance (maybe not faster than driving?) and used Marine One to do it. It would have been about 75 minutes by car. Not sure how Marine One compares.
Obama used to take Air Force One to fly out to Cape Cod and then take a military helo from the base to his vacation house on Martha's Vineyard 2 or 3 times a year.
It's not unheard of for presidents to do this kind of stuff, tho not at the frequency with which Trump does.
There's also context of driving a president around and the amount of security that goes into that. It will gridlock a city for a long time vs two man children abusing their Daddy's status. There's no comparison.
I was living and working on the base that Obama used to fly into on Cape Cod, I am vastly aware of how much of a pain in the dick it is.
Trump doing it is only an issue cause of how often he does it. The sheer hypocrisy of conservatives getting buttmad when Obama did so yet completely silent as Trump runs up the bill and eclipsing what other 2-term Presidents cost taxpayers during his 1-term is the other issue.
I wasn't aware Obama owned the property in Cape Cod and was charging the government to make money off the trip.
