They are loyal to power. Their own power. That's pretty much it. A lot of them uncomfortably read the tea leaves when Trump was elected and saw that if they didn't support him, they'd suffer under him, so they bent knee. Those that didn't have suffered. They are terrified of the monster they created, and many like Mitch are just trying to accomplish as much as they can while they can before they get removed from power.

Bullshit. As soon as Trump secured the nomination, the RNC and all the other republicans fell in line, kissed the ring and are doing everything in their power to protect dear leader. Only way now they will turn on Trump is at the end of term 2 if he's detrimental to re-election efforts of their own party members, or if he loses this election and the survivors need to save face to avoid more losses in two years, then they will turn on him. But so long as Trump and his base are useful to them, the RNC will cater and do everything to keep their dear leader happy.

And what it comes down to is votes. Bernie even admitted in his home state he got less of the youth vote. Tulsi is like the democratic version of Trump, democrat in name only. Yang is really the only one done dirty and I think that's more due to the fact he was an actual outsider. People at least knew of trump before. In 2016 if you asked anyone who Yang is, they would have stared at you

i mean, isn't this the entire point of democracy? the will of the masses, not the elite? i know there's plenty of companies that probably would run a hell of a lot better if they would actually listen to what their "lowest level" employees were telling them more often, or at least take their feedback into serious consideration. like how no one wants to deal with fucking paper coupons in this year of 2020 A.D. or how it's probably time to get rid of those reward cards because they're simply not worth the risk of having customer IDs stolen. but what do we know, we're just the people who actually deal with this shit on a day to day basis. /shrug

Disagree. The RNC spent 8 years cultivating exactly the kind of nationalist, authoritarian fervor a fascist could thrive in. Their problem was not developing a candidate from within to take control of the cult they formed.
