"Y'all just mad he's smart!" -someone, somewhere, probably
Not even somewhere. Look at twitter for more than 30 seconds.
"this is normal in real estate"
"so...he's smart"
"It's not a big deal"
People will do anything to suck off their dear leader. It's mindblowing.
Gonna assume most people (on both sides!!!!) haven't even read the article before commenting. As is par for the course in these days
I made it like it down like 5 or 6 paragraphs until I noticed how long the scroll bar is and noped out since I could honestly give a fuck less about it at this point.
I got through it, but it was a bit of a slog. I'll say that there isn't really any fluff, but there's just so much dubious shit that it all feels the same after a while.
Highlights:
* 10 years of $0 in taxes, 2 years of $750, paid millions of dollars in taxes once and got a big refund due to the recession legislation
* Pays his children (probably, at least Ivanka) as contractors for projects that don't happen and officially don't have contractors. The NYT avoided passing judgement, but I'll say that it's pretty obviously estate-or-gift tax fraud.
* Has incredibly opaque finances even by rich-person standards.
* Everything he manages either goes to shit and loses money or he's faking it and laundering the profits somehow.
* Very obvious manipulation of tax credits/etc. to get to or close to 0 every year (but not in foreign countries, where he pays hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax).
* He's selling the US international influence and not for much money. Keep in mind that this guy is largely responsible for us needing ~4 trillion dollars of stimulus due to coronavirus. The bribes he seems to be taking are in the millions.
* He has potentially 200mil of debt coming due by 2022 and does not have a very viable way to cover it without just selling his shit.
idk, overall he's about as corrupt as I expected, which was completely corrupt. It's hard to tell whether this will impact the election at all, but at least we finally have confirmation of what we all probably assumed was the case.
Won't change any votes, but good to see it regardless.
One more piece of my fantasy "running to russia after losing and stealing everything in the whitehouse"
Let's see ol' donnie...nope. cant finish with a straight face.
Trumps former campaign manager Hospitalized after trying to harm himself.
Do we need to start a former Tump official mental breakdown bingo?
weird the call said he had a gun and the cops didn't shoot him
ohhh sorry that's autistic children my bad
That was quite the read. Really interesting as it shows his general mindset. The guy doesn’t know how to save a dime. He immediately spends whatever profits he makes by just spending more on his properties and businesses which makes it look like losses instead and gives him tax write-offs. And it’s all just for putting on a show as he admits himself.
All this really proves beyond the shadow of a doubt is that he is in fact a bullshit artist. Not that it matters to his supporters, why care about his finances when you’re getting the laundry list of republican wants that have been mounting for decades.“I play to people’s fantasies,” he wrote in “Trump: The Art of the Deal.” “People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular. I call it truthful hyperbole. It’s an innocent form of exaggeration — and a very effective form of promotion.”
If the singular Trump product is Trump in an exaggerated form — the man, the lifestyle, the acquisitiveness — then everything that feeds the image, including the cost of his businesses, can be written off on his taxes. Mr. Trump may be reporting business losses to the government, but he can still live a life of wealth and write it off.

reluctant submissive sounds like rape
Or like any closeted Republican that tries to ignore/deny their true feelings.
3.5 million Black Americans were profiled and categorised as ‘Deterrence’ by Trump campaign – voters they wanted to stay home on election day
The ‘Deterrence’ project can be revealed after Channel 4 News obtained the database used by Trump’s digital campaign team – credited with helping deliver his shock victory to become president four years ago.
Vast in scale, it contains details on almost 200 million Americans, among more than 5,000 files, which together amass almost 5 terabytes of data – making it one of the biggest leaks in history.
It reveals not only the huge amounts of data held on every individual voter, but how that data was used and manipulated by models and algorithms.
In 16 key battleground states, millions of Americans were separated by an algorithm into one of eight categories, also described as ‘audiences’, so they could then be targeted with tailored ads on Facebook and other platforms.
One of the categories was named ‘Deterrence’, which was later described publicly by Trump’s chief data scientist as containing people that the campaign “hope don’t show up to vote”.
Analysis by Channel 4 News shows Black Americans – historically a community targeted with voter suppression tactics – were disproportionately marked ‘Deterrence’ by the 2016 campaign.
Holy shit.
