Rhyis isn't wrong. Current gun laws allowed the situation to happen but that doesn't absolve the police department from fucking up. There were bullets that entered 3 other apartments that had potential to kill 3 other people that had nothing to do with the raid. If there were more victims, are the police still off the hook for firing back in self defense? I surely fucking hope not.

I'm not excusing the cops for killing Taylor cause they fired back in self defense cause she happened to be in the apartment they had a warrant for but I'm sure you've read how the cops are being excused by the court for doing just that.

We've had a few cases where yes, this was the case. White dude shot at cops or was holding a gun as they barged into the wrong house and he was either tazed/talked down or many other things.
