Is it right to ask a 19 year old to judge the lawfulness of one mans murder of another? I seriously don’t know if I can answer that with a solid yes or a solid no. It’s one thing to use them for the military and give instructions to kill under XYZ conditions but idk that a 19 year old has the wisdom to neutrally and impartially judge a murder between others. Our federal and state governments have mandatory age minimums for legislative and executive branches to ensure good judgement and temperament .... there’s a case to be made for the justice system requiring the same.

Right and I think that’s fine in the case of shoplifting or other moderate crimes... I just think maybe murder trials may be a tad challenging for a 19 year old to fairly and competently judge

Evidence is evidence. It's not the 19 year old's job to determine the sentence after the fact. Otherwise, this should realistically be a home run given the clear video of Chauvin kneeling on Floyd's neck until he dies. Compare that to suggested shoplifting where maybe you have grainy store cam or shitty composite drawings that still lead to prosecution through collaborative evidence. Really, the only sticking point is if one believes the coroner cooked the books on the autopsy, because for a guy that could apparently kill a horse on fentanyl, you'd think the cops would have at least had a bloody nose or something to show for the implied threat. But that could also be offset by claims that Chauvin held a grudge through past strip club security work. What's otherwise been an attempt to smear Floyd to justify the murder has been token whataboutism. A counterfeit $20, even if knowingly used, shouldn't have been a death sentence.
