    Injuries? We got injuries... Eagles:

Eagles defensive end Vinny Curry (hamstring) and defensive back Craig James (undisclosed) suffered "significant injuries" in Sunday's loss to the Washington Football Team and will miss time over the next couple weeks, coach Doug Pederson said.

Defensive end Brandon Graham, meanwhile, is in concussion protocol after being evaluated for a head injury during the game.

    Packers:

The Packers found a way to replace Lane Taylor after his season-ending biceps injury last season in Week 3, and now they will have to do it again. The hard-luck starting guard sustained a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's season-opening win over the Minnesota Vikings.

The fear is that Taylor tore the ACL in his right knee and will need surgery. But either way, a source said he is done for the year.

"That's my understand as well," coach Matt LaFleur said of losing Taylor for the year.

"It's significant, obviously. My heart goes out to him. Just battling back from the significant injury that he had last year and to get to a position where he was in our starting lineup, certainly he will be missed. I feel bad for him as an athlete, as a man. It takes a lot to come back from a significant injury and he put the time in and put himself in a great position to have a great year. It's always tough to see when somebody goes down."

    Jets:

Already reeling on offense, the New York Jets likely won't have running back Le'Veon Bell for multiple games.

Bell injured his left hamstring Sunday, and "we could be looking at a couple of weeks" with him on the sideline, coach Adam Gase said Monday. The Jets are prepared to start Frank Gore, 37, the NFL's third all-time leading rusher, on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. Gore is the 49ers' all-time leading rusher, having played with them from 2005 to 2014.

    Colts:

An MRI on Colts running back Marlon Mack confirmed that he suffered a season-ending torn Achilles in Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, coach Frank Reich said Monday.

Mack suffered the injury after catching an underneath pass in the second quarter. He immediately grabbed his ankle, got up and took off his helmet before waving for assistance from the Colts' sideline.

    Cowboys:

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch will undergo surgery on his broken collarbone and be placed on the injured reserve/return list, executive vice president Stephen Jones confirmed Monday on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas.

Jones also said tight end Blake Jarwin suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in Sunday night's season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

The Cleveland Browns are making a kicking change.

The Browns waived starter Austin Seibert on Monday after he missed an extra point and field goal in Sunday's 38-6 loss at Baltimore. To replace Seibert, Cleveland signed Cody Parkey off its practice squad to the 53-man roster.
Cuz, you know, the kicker was the problem lol

NFL threatens discipline for coaches not wearing masks on sidelines

The NFL sent a memo Monday morning to reinforce its requirement that coaches wear face coverings at all times on the sidelines during games, threatening discipline for those who don't comply.

The sharply worded message, written by executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent, came in response to wide variance in compliance during the first Sunday of the 2020 season. It was directed particularly at head coaches, on whom TV broadcasts frequently focus.

The discrepancy was particularly noticeable Sunday night in Los Angeles, where Rams coach Sean McVay often had his mask pulled down below his chin. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy wore his mask throughout the game.

Vincent wrote that Week 1 was "tremendous" but noted that "we must remain vigilant and disciplined in following the processes and protocols put in place by not only the league, union and clubs, but also by state and local governments."

Let us all not forget Danny Dimes literally created a thunderstorm last year and brought the game to a halt after he threw a touchdown.
