I saw a lot of articles about this after all the rappers started endorsing Trump. It's basically because men, regardless of minority status, are attracted to the idea of a strongman even if they think he's racist. They admire Trump even though they don't think he's admirable. So they respond to that. It's cultural machismo.

It's like at the start of the Godfather where Michael is talking about his father to Kay -- he's saying negative things about him, but there's a reverence there. And it exists despite Michael knowing there shouldn't be.

Which they basically state that the state legislature determines voting, and not the state or federal judiciary.

Depends on ACB, those rulings have been 4-4. Typically, for matters handles by states, they'd defer to state supreme court as opposed to federal court rulings. It'll be interesting, and def end up on the steps of SCOTUS. If they invalidate 120k votes that Republicans OK'd for several months and only became upset in the twilight of the election, it'll be fucking mayhem. It's not going to matter in terms of the general election, but could have huge implications at state level races.
