I'm not a fan of style-fighters.
Hoping that the game makes more use of FF7R's combat options than it does FF15's
Call me purist, but I grow weary of turn-based RPGs largely being banished to watered down, shitty mobile games.
Yeah, this game isn't going to be for me, but I hope it does very well. I can enjoy things from a distance, while not having to play them. I'll be over here playing my TRPG indie games until Matsuno gets to make a new Ogre Battle, and cheering XVI on from the sidelines.
Exactly, sometimes people act as if because FF is not doing it anymore, the turn-based genre died completely

Everything Gukolo said plus World of Final Fantasy, Wasteland 3, Pathfinder, South Park Fractured But whole,
They're out there, it's just not mainstream as much as it once was. Or at least you need to put more effort into getting people interested. But hell, I wouldn't ignore shit like Undertale just because it's "ugly" and complain there's no good RPGs.
But as for FFXVI, let's go full on DMC I'm ready and I can't wait.
World of Final Fantasy is crazy underrated for what it is.
If you can’t get past Undertale’s “ugliness” than WoFF’s adorable and wholesome aesthetic might be more to your liking. Could scratch the itch for a turn-based FF game.
