Still a real lack of actual gameplay in these trailers. The story looks very cool but I'm honestly starting to wonder if the gameplay is going to let it down if they're so hesitant to actually show it off.

Yeah, I kinda expected more gameplay, less story trailer this time around
Wasn't people's biggest issue with 15 the story? If 16 is going to really flesh this one out and make the non-DLC game story much better then that's an improvement. We've seen a decent amount of gameplay footage already and it looks fine.
Are we watching the same trailers, there's been a ton of gameplay in the last two. Also in that poster there's at least 3 Eikons we haven't seen yet, Leviathan, the one in the center, and the one at the top (diabolos?). Ifrit, Phoenix and Ramuh seem to be missing from it as well, which is kind of strange. Also this confirms that Jill is Shiva, and it seems like Ramuh might be somewhat of a mentor for Clive and is turning to stone. We see him and clive together at several points and another shot where it seems like he might be in Rosaria when shit hits the fan.
We've mostly seen some battle scenes, I meant more stuff like exploration, npc interactions, maybe some UI. That kinda stuff is exciting too.
The biggest issue with 15 was getting literally a quarter (1/5th? less?) of the story then them expecting you to pay for a bunch of DLC to actually get the full story. But sorry, we're cancelling the DLC because they didn't sell well so now you'll never actually get a satisfying ending. Also, sorry, you don't get to play any of the other characters unless you purchase the DLC.
The whole model was fucked from the start, and it seems obvious/a huge gamble on SE's part for a flagship game.
Spoiler: show
He said what I was saying with more words, 15's story was mostly DLC that we didn't even get 3 of. I'm mentioning how the trailers are showing that this looks story heavy already with no DLC.
Anyone else have more dumb ass 15 takes from 7 years ago before we talk about the badass trailer released today?
Because this looks amazing.
I liked the trailer it and the intro to the nations. I felt like I'm in for a bit of an adventure as I go around and collect summons.
And the best thing is that I still really have no idea what's going on but there's a story to tell and I'm looking forward to getting stuck in. The story/setting fundamentally doesn't excite me, but it being a mainline FF makes me intrigued for it and I want to see where it goes.
English if ya need it.
I feel like I've said this before, but this game is just Naruto, right? Each country has a tailed beast, they are mistreated by the people, they have a cloaked form that uses a bit of power, but when using the full power they take the actual form of the entire beast.
Even gonna be time skips so we can see how our character grows up with these powers.
Naruto was good!
When it wasn't trying to stretch itself out for an extra decade

Oh I'm not complaining at all lol. And now if they fight God at the end, it'll make sense, because final fantasy.
Trailer is hype. Idk what anyone could complain about. I hope they can keep that fidelity in game.

The bijuu are just a ripoff of the same concept from Devilman 1972. Who the fuck cares? FF16 is gonna be awesome. Story, lore, characters, setting, plot, conflicts, music, combat have all looked aces. Can't wait.
