Maybe the 6th country is all the chocobos we met along the way
Maybe the 6th country is all the chocobos we met along the way
The comment about not visiting all countries was mistranslated. The actual translation states that while there are 6 countries not all the countries we visit will be fully explorable. So it sounds more like we will visit all of the countries, but like say Sanbreque, we aren't going to be strolling around talking to npc's and shit.
It's a modified/upgraded FFXIV engine (which I wouldn't be surprised to see said upgrades backported into XIV 7.0), so I'm probably expecting roughly same area size as field in XIV, just without convenience of mounts and without PS3limitation texture quality.
I'd be fine with this. I don't need a whole city to get lost in repeatedly in one adventure. Long as they don't waste resources like the XV team did where they had Altissia be this massive city, heavily detailed for game use, and the final game only used about 20% of it.
Also we know at least in the past that Leviathan has existed, Yoshi-P said as much regarding the poster. Combine this fact with the quote that says all dominants are currently active and it's almost certain that Leviathan is also around currently.
Here's the actual translation for the country thing:

Yoshi-P is trending and it's for the dumbest reason ever (his answer about diversity due to the region the game takes place in)... Twitter is so dogshit lmao
You can't win against those idiots, and YoshiP's answer for the question was completely sound. Fantasy worlds don't have to adhere to real world anyways.
I mean the twitter post that I saw that started the controversy actually just cherrypicked part of his answer to make it look bad, if you actually read the interview on the site that shall not be named, it gives the answer a much better context than what was posted on twitter and doesn't sound bad at all. But you know twitter gonna twitter.
What was the comment?
This pretty much sums it up, the first post is the cherry picked comment, the top post though shows the full answer and how the comments posted on twitter were terrible and ruined the context of the answer.

Oh bother.
PC releases hasnt stopped anyone from claiming console exclusivity before, has it? Opens up some interesting options for Winter 2023 releases.
From what I've heard its exclusive to PS5 for 6 months for PC, console exclusive for 1 year.
Pre-orders for FF16 will go live Dec 8th during The Game Awards.
Mebbe we'll get a trailer with a release date then also?
PC release is a given for mainline FF games now
Same day PC release isn't a given though
Oh wow, completely missed the same day part, my bad
