I'd say 95% chance it's digital with a canvas filter applied later. Just kind of the way the industry rolls these days.

But recall they gave perfect 40s to FF12 and FF13-2, so that metric has been total dogshit for 15 years now, but I still wager FF16 is gonna get similar universal acclaim like Zelda did last month.

Considering how people that don't even play Final Fantasy were hyped about the demo, I would be surprised if it doesn't. Even Asmongold is gonna stream it on release day.

FF13 receiving a 39 would be a good reason to call it dogshit. Not the 2 that you mentioned.
