Yeah I sincerely doubt that's happening, just because a game is on PC doesn't mean you can mod it like that. This ain't the creation engine.

Welp, finally finished this. Did a little of a new game+ runthrough, but will probably come back to it later.
this is on the bench while i play too much of deadlock.
Thanks, quite disappointed that all offline FF's in last 2-3 decades (damn), X XII, XIII, XV all had very solid side dungeon and hunts system. Wasn't expecting anything less.
Oh, Necrohol! I remember initially spending about an hour there and end up running back out. Full of traps, undeads...pleasant surprise indeed.Originally Posted by Lokus

we tried out the Fallout RPG for two weeks and it was actually pretty decent. I didn't love the way it assigned damage but otherwise the 2d20 lower-than system is pretty nifty. Also tried Lancer which is crunchy but fun.
Been running a joint-DM double-campaign for 3 and a half years now. Absolutely love the system, but I'm a rules guy and enjoy systems with lots of clearly defined rules and math... that allow you to make balanced and enjoyable homebrew that doesn't break the game over its knee. Its combat-heavy, but fully supports lots of RP/exploration/downtime/crafting, although the last one can always use more work.
nice!
well, back to XVI. I tried again today and for some reason all of a sudden my FPS/performance was dogshit. I really feel like I'm playing an FMV though, the game is stupidly easy and repetitive. Especially with Eikon stuff you're just along for the ride and pressing buttons.
Still haven't seen the game over screen but some battles were able to challenge a bit. That said, I have no complaints. I welcome a change of pace from tougher stuff like Erdtree.
Oh and the soundtrack is out on Spotify, XVI probably has the best title theme among all others. The soundtrack superbly complements the overall dark mood of the game.
I don't think I saw game over screen without trying to. The base game is not hard and it's annoying that Final Fantasy mode is hidden behind NG+ which basically makes it also not that hard lol
I got game overed during the Kupka fight by not realizing an attack he was doing was basically an instant death and tried to dodge it
Not that I consider this a particular good defense, but gotta remember Yoshida wanted this to be treated as Baby's First RPG for potential newcomers, so anyone who's been in the scene for a while probably wouldn't encounter much difficulty by default. Not having the difficulty option available outright, let alone an in-game setting to change it midway if you felt you made a mistake, is nonetheless a strike. Much as I think the Souls mentality has done irreparable damage to gaming, doing the polar opposite isn't much better.
They already had the journalist-mode accessories for first timers to character action style gameplay that need a handicap.
Ok, now that I've had some time away, thoughts after finishing it.
Before I get into spoilery stuff, I concur with a lot of what's been said here. I don't mind games being more accessible, but I think what bugs me is that I wanted them to go just a bit further. "Baby's first DMC" is spot on. Definitely has one of the best combat systems in an FF I played, just wish they didn't play it safe.
Now for spoilery stuff, both storywise and gampelay
