Yeah no I found what’s the issue
If you beat rampage apex rathalos and apex diabolos it unlocks apex rathian and mitsuzune rampage
Once you clear those rampage it unlocks these 2 as regular hunts
But you need at least hr41 and 45

Apex Diablos and Rathalos rampages were the 2nd and 3rd quests I did when the update came out, don't need your HR that high to join one
Is there any way to view the sharpness gauge when looking through equipment? Trying to see how effective handicraft is for some weapons.
Just equip whatever handicraft gear you think you'll be using with the weapon
Ah so that's the only way. Was debating between the Tigrex DBs using raw damage/stamina skills and the DBs the ice bear makes using Handicraft/WEX/Crit/etc.
At least for right now feels like any weapon that requires more then 2 points of handicraft just isn't worth it. Most melee builds have Narga or Tigrex weapons as best in slot due to the natural white.
Not enough skill points/gem slots to go around yet
Makes sense. I guess Tigrex would be better. I doubt even if I could hit 100% Crit and with Critical boost could justify the 40(?) raw samage loss using Narga.
It depends on the weapon and how many skills it "requires" and how good ones charm is. Narga are good starter points because you don't need a super good charm to max out affinity and CB now.
As far as I know math wise tho Tigrex is always the better option now for SA and SAED CB because they have phial attacks based solely on raw that won't crit. For most of the other weapons as you get a better charm (probably like a 4 point) you can change out to tigrex because you'll be able to fit in more crit eye to compensate for the Tigrex negative affinity. Even if you can't reach 100% the massively higher raw will make up for it.
This picture of SnS building kinda shows the logic. With a charm with no relevant skills Narga is the better option, but as soon as you've got a 2 point or higher you can switch to tigrex and adjust as you get better charms

I need to experiment some time with crit. Just getting unlucky with melds and trying to grind gems/gear is kind of burning me out. Been trying other weapons but urgh I'm shit with DBs and SA
re: Hi Ninja Sword
The weapon is actually quite good *IF* you change to Drill Slash instead of the Shield Bash combo. Everyone was switching off of Drill Slash because it fucking eats sharpness, but that's not a concern if you're using the Hi Ninja Sword.
Lol save scum is back
Here leak of digital event tomorrow from Reddit. Again take it as rumor.

Next update will be in June and will include collaboration.
Apex Zinogre with yellow thunder.
Apex regular quests(Diablos and Rathalos).
New weapon trees and armors
3 returning monsters(he doesn’t want name them to ruin the surprise like last time).
Spoiler: show
We’ll see if 3 retuning monsters is true or not when update arrives in couple of hours.
So hyped for Valstrax, looking real good in this game too.
I haven’t played for a while I’m like HR50 so I’ll probably won’t be able to unlock any of these right away
