I got a chain crit on ingot greaves, but I use luna hands on IG. Might be useful if I decide to lose bloodlust, because I get that from storge boots.

Video makes it look like it's gonna be at the Forlorn Arena too. Hoping that they don't just put every single monster (Seething Bagel aside) they're adding into the arena and nowhere else.
Update 3 is out, besides the new monsters the new feature letting you bring followers on any quest is pretty dope.
Kinda sad it wasn't there for release
It's kinda unbalanced since the followers don't scale the quests. They do garbage damage but the free healing/buffs/KOs make fights substantially easier.
Going to make MP hunts harder to find as well, likely. Though, I can honestly see the appeal for bringing followers instead of real people for something like a AR 121+ Flaming Espinas hunt.
Went ahead and got this since it's on gamepass now and some friends wanted me to play.
Took wayyyy too long to get used to the controls given that the scheme seems to be totally different than basically any other game I can think of, but now that I am it's super fun just zipping all over the place during fights.
I played through everything on the Switch when it launched but will probably poke around the Gamepass version now. I'm trying to remember, wasn't there some quest or some way to unlock multiplayer missions from the start?
Multiplayer is always available from the start once you get the basic tutorial stuff out of the way.
Ahh I had to go back and look it up... I was thinking of the special license quests to skip through low rank if doing village quests first.
believe me, lesson well learned, lmao
Anyone able to point me to a good hunting horn build for high rank/elders?
You'd basically be looking at what the vanilla Rise meta set was I think.
General moral of the story for HH is always go for Weakness Exploit 3, Horn Maestro, try to get attack boost to at least 4 (but more is always better). Critical eye/critical boost are good, but since a lot of HH moves can't crit they're not as vital as attack boost. Weakness Exploit is just so good there's no reason to never not have it though.
HH builds are way different once you're into Sunbreak tho fyi

perfect info, thx. mostly did hammer in MHW because it was simple but wanted to branch out now
Hammer isn't in a great place right now in Rise anyways, honestly. Trading damage and tail cuts for the utility of stunning monsters when half the weapons in the game can do it now is pretty shitty.
