This is a really awkward area of science because it's not cut and dry on either side. On one side you have people getting out cranium measuring tools, and on the other side you have folks arguing there are no physical differences between someone who is genetically male vs genetically female. This is why whenever I hear about the trans athlete issue I just sorta sit there and go "You know, if we lived in a perfect world and had the ability to completely remake a person's body to be that of what they would have been if they had the other chromosome, then there'd be no room for argument here, but we don't have that."

And then you start thinking about just the intrinsic differences between people in general and it all goes out the window. Sports are weird.
