There’s not really specific ethnicity to the muppets on Sesame Street anyway right? Like they are all purple or red or green or yellow felt. You know what, never mind. This is all too silly for me to care any further.

There was another show I used to watch on PBS that specifically had Muppets with different ethnicities along with a bunch of regular kids. One was black, one was native, one was Asian. I remember an episode where the Native muppet made everyone some bread of his native cuisine but the Jewish muppet refused to eat it, and it turned out it was because of restrictions on leavened bread for Passover.

Basic findings are that antisemitism is far more severe among conservatives than leftists (contra a lot of popular discourse), young conservatives are more antisemitic than older ones and the most antisemitic young people are conservative blacks and latinos, not whites.

not that I know any conservative hispanics but my perception is that they aren't spending any time at all thinking about the jews - is it a Christian/Jewish split or is it conspiracy shit?

One of the high watermarks of ultra-conservative intellectualism is antisemitism. The rank and file don't often think about Jews as more than an abstract, the college folks are the ones who spend the time thinking about exactly how and why they hate the Jews.

you're not wrong. there's the old Catholic divide born out of Spain's historically intense anti-Semitism. amusingly enough a decent amount of it stems from the other side reacting to Israel as well. Latin America is oft revolutionary in its politics, congenital underdogs, and a great mass of people sympathize passionately with the Palestinian cause. to wit every Latin American state except for Columbia, Panama, and Mexico has recognized Palestine as a state. given the paucity of Jews in the region, many Hispanics can go their entire life without meeting one, Israel is the dominant exposure to Jews for many. and it uh doesn't go over great throughout a lot of Latin America.
