I want to say Netflix's role in Cuties was ill-advised distribution of foreign smut and by no means should've happened. Meanwhile, they do tend to play a larger part in the production of their comedy specials, where interactions of the talent on and off the camera can play a part. Some level of distinction is justified and there certainly was outrage from a lot of people back then. Any disdain was likely successfully handled in-house with the hope most folks would be sensible enough to not watch the garbage or cancel in protest like a lot did. I'm not sure the same could be said with a Chappelle set, as his past emphasizes why any internal discontent would be ignored since it'd be exponentially more popular by default, with fanboyism providing blinders in the case of actual missteps and the Streisand Effect doing the rest.

Put another way, for some, claiming to be a TERF is as egregious as Louis CK whipping his dick out unsolicited, and some jokes have tastelessly affirmed that position. Doesn't matter if you or I think it's same level or justified, the vast majority of us here are not the targets. Could an argument be made he's possibly in a character and doesn't actually think that way despite redressing RL issues? I dunno, this isn't quite pro wrestling where some suspension of disbelief is a requirement from the start when you're not a kid who doesn't know it's fake. He's hardly been cancelled, but basically kicking things off with the disclaimer it'll be his last special for a while also comes off as some advanced knowing of crossing a line he maybe shouldn't, but felt the pay day worth it. After all, there's an internet of angry people willing to take his side (anti-sjw, redpillers, religious zealots, etc.) exclusively because he's made the LGBT+ demographic mad and take pot shots at the people walking out. Even the Cuties whataboutism is that.

End of the day, it would seem like Netflix handled neither with due diligence.

So after looking into this I initially thought maybe she was a history teacher and this was a horribly misguided attempt during a lesson on Native American history. Turns out she is a math teacher and she was teaching the SOHCAHTOA thing for Sin/Cos/Tan and she thought it sounded like Native American language and this would somehow help her students remember it

Bruh, I had the most dry lesson on trig in reference to SOH CAH TOA that didn't require a demonstration or some type of reference. Anyone that understands the concept (which isn't even difficult) is gonna learn it.

She probably learned it that way in her youth and just completely lacked self-awareness to realize that she was being stupid.

That was super cringy and shitty. That being said it would be a shame for that teacher to be fired. Instead give her some intense sensitivity training. Teachers that do go above and beyond like that need to be encouraged rather than fired. To be clear I am not saying what she did was ok but I like teachers that do fun stuff to make dry subjects more interesting.
