If you signed him for anything more then what you did, then yeah I'd call it a shit signing. But at $700k, it's not bad at all for an old as fuck doode who still put up 30 points last year. We signed an older Jagr for more lol. But we also got the glory of Jaromir Jagr in a Flames jersey

Thornton should be more than just a character signing. He was one of the few offensive bright spots for the Sharks last year. He really hasn't lost much on his passing touch, so he should be good for 25-40 point range (assuming a full season) as a 3rd line player, 2nd PP unit. Only thing he might be a liability on is short handed situations, just because he's not as fast as he used to be. He can still lay some good hits out though.

The leaked suggested changes to the curriculum for grade schoolers is just mind-boggling. And Alberta being Alberta, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets re-elected the next time there's an election in Alberta despite all the stupid shit he's done so far
