Add in if the playoff format stays the same, we could see some teams play each other upwards of like 15 times against each other. I dunno if that's gonna build an extreme rivalry or just make shit super boring by the end, and I'm leaning towards the latter

Before the expansion, teams would play 14 times lol. After the expansion it was 10x against O6, 4x against the new teams (for O6)

I'm kind of amped for this setup honestly. Looking forward to playing the Bolts, Canes, and Pants; still have CHI and MIN to feel those central vibes. Also still hate the Red Wings from the central division of yesteryear. It's only for one unusual season; interested to see how it plays out, particularly for Team Canada.

damn, I know Henrik isn't as good as he used to be but I was looking forward to watching him play in DC and mentoring Samsonov a bit. Wish him well though, hopefully it's not something really bad.

Steen has had a good career and won a cup at least, and hopefully the back injury isn't so severe that it causes him trouble for the rest of his life. King Henrik's sucks real bad. The guy is already 38, and a heart condition doesn't really sound like something he can easily bounce back from, especially at that age.

Also, mumblings of all Canadian teams moving to the US for the 2021 season depending on if the Canadian provinces can come to an agreement about cross-Canada travel for teams.

I know this is going to be a unpopular opinion but.. I wish they would just skip a shortened season and wait til October next year like normal. I don't want to watch more hockey in empty arenas, with announcers calling the game a thousand miles away. If they travel to different cities I'm afraid the disease is going to spread throughout the league and it was turn into a complete disaster. (NFL as an example) I feel like we have it coming. I mean if you do a shortened season next year how do you schedule the year after that anyway? O_o

I know there was a thing about Ticketmaster a month or so ago talking about with concerts and trying to make it so you'd have to prove you were vaccinated before getting tickets, though that would be up to the venue in the end. I always wonder how sports world will work, cuz as much as I miss hockey or concerts, I'm definitely in no rush to be in a building with thousands of randoms.
