I mean, I'm seriously not kidding when I say people I have known for a long time still voted for Trump - even colleagues I respected - simply because he wasn't a democrat. Like, this dude straight up endangered all medical professions by saying we're fabricating the virus to make money, and they still voted for him.

Biden’s AZ lead under 20k with 121k left to go.
Will be amusing if it goes red after all, Trumps would to that to further his narrative.
Thats gonna offend people here I bet.
Nah.
Papa Joe gave a great speech. It was pretty run of the mill but I feel like an abused dog that’s just been shown love after four years. I’ll take it.
Carlos Maza puts it well:

So real question. Election wise, Joe has won. Other than Trump's legal pursuits, the only other thing standing in the way of being elected president is the electoral vote system. I forget who I heard it from, prolly one of Legal Eagle's videos, but faithless electors are a thing, where they don't vote with the popular vote of their given state. Many states don't have laws forbidding it, and some have miniscule laws against it, like $1,000 fines. I recall the vid mentioning faithless electors have never decided a presidency, but this is 2020, so why not cap off the year with some more bullshit no one saw coming. Is there any legal mechanism to prevent faithless electors from flipping an election?
Republicans right now concerning election fraud.
i agree, it was a great speech, even if kinda what anyone would expect.
but you know, i kept comparing that to what we've had over the last 4 years and it's so weird. just really appreciating and kinda only just remembering what it's like to have a leader who knows the right things to say.
There are some that are not crazy. I'll give you an example. I remember on a news show a long time ago they interviewed people and asked them why exactly they voted for him. One guy owned a large farm that had been in this family many generations. He was a Republican. There was some kind of tax that affected farms that if he had to pay it he said he thought he would lose it. He voted for Trump because he had promised to eliminate that tax. That was they ONLY reason the guy voted for him. He went out of his way to say he didn't like his character but he felt like he had no other choice.
That's what I'm talking about. There are people that only voted for Trump because reasons. They think Democrats are the enemy and are going to take all their stuff away or whatever. Hopefully Bidens speech tonight might get them to rethink that.
