I have pretty much never, ever had a good high over ~50 times trying via smoking or edibles. Either I only get hungry and nothing else, or I get nothing at all, or I feel terrible.

I have never, ever, ever come out of it going “man I cant wait to do that again” and if it weren’t for the fact that I’ve never been the one paying for it I would’ve stopped trying after the 3rd time.

I didn't believe it when I was younger, but I've met many people in your situation. Its unfortunate cause I really enjoy a good smoke before a savory meal or gaming sesh, and for the longest I thought everyone enjoyed it like I did.

Same here. Usually just makes me feel dizzy and miserable, but it doesn't stop my friends from constantly trying to get me to smoke when they're around.

Something about that tingle in the spine from the addy plus the fuzzy feeling behind my eyes just does something to me that I'm not really looking for haha. Ill clean the house real good then play a strategy game while sweating bullets and shaking from the anxiety lol.

Smoking is way better than edibles. Edibles hit you like Shaq trying to fist your virgin asshole by surprise if you overdo it. I love both though. Everything is better high though.

Nope. Smoking it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. Smells up the place and such. Edibles hit you with just the right amount of that taste, then just sit back and chill until they take effect. For the most part they make me sleepy unless it's a bomb ass edible like that blondie bar I mentioned. Used to take them all the time for my IBD and they'd help a bit with inflammation.

So, I am alive.

We sat in our room and each took one 10mg gummy. We left our hotel (the cosmo) and walked down to ceasars. We start walking down from the steps of the Bellagio and I begin to get tunnel vision and a very short term memory. I tell my wife "we gotta go back to the hotel...now", realizing I probably fucked up.

We start to walk back and then it hits my wife. She has no fucking idea what is going on. On the way back to the hotel, we pass some cops. I look at my wife and tell her she needs to act cool. She gets super paranoid. It's 100% legal here lol.

Anyway, the walk back felt like it took 2 hours. We get to the hotel and sarah is complaining she's hungry. I remember that there's a secret pizza place hidden on the 4th floor and our mission is to find it.

We accidentally get off on the 3rd floor but we become hypnotized by the carpet. We start walking, laughing uncontrollably. The carpet, which was this trippy deep hue of red with graffiti drawings all over was the end of our lives. Walking that carpet to the elevator was intense.

We get to our room by some grace of God and I am not a functional adult. Sarah and I spend 30 minutes in the room just laughing uncontrollably. I somehow ordered room service. The pizza was horrible. I had to get my phone to calculate a $3 tip.

My wife now just wants to watch Netflix and go to bed. I pick up the remote to try to login. I can't do it. Staring at the letters on the TV to type my email made me want to puke. I paced the room for a good ten minutes. My wife finished eating the pizza. I encourage her to come to bed because I have this irrational fear she may jump off the balcony. I check my phone two or ten times to make sure I set my alarm for the early flight. When I close my eyes, I see crazy weird shapes and patterns. It take me a good 30+ minutes to fall asleep.

I wake up, type this message.

10/10, great experience. Highlight of the trip.

I am sorry I missed this. I would have swagged in and told you to be careful on edibles. My bad. You won't ever die from edibles, but you'll have a very bad/great trip. Why?

1) You've likely never been under such an influence before and it's a trip the very first time, for good or for bad.
2) Everyone underestimates their first real edible. Everyone.
3) Paranoia multiples the effect in interesting ways.

What I would have told you is take a gummy early, and chill in the hotel with wife as it kicks in. Watch something funny, and/or news. Gauge how you feel, or if you can get out of the chair. If you can get up without falling over, great, wait 10-15 mins more and maybe you'll hit the sweet spot. If not, wait like 20 mins and gauge yourself again. Sounds like you tripped the fuck out as soon as you felt yourself lose that sense of self. Happens all the damn time for someone's first, LOL. Cops prolly didn't help at all. As you went home 15 mins prolly passed instead, which is much better with the gummy and considering how Vegas is laid out.

Also you should take more edibles and write about how you feel. That was a great read.
