I honestly don't know what we should train people to do. Perhaps if everyone with a highschool degree had some amount of scripting ability, we could have them manage hoards of robots with simple scripts? Hard to even imagine, really.

I know this isn't a popular opinion but I think we a. Should strengthen unemployment to help those who are probably too old or been doing the same thing too long to retrain in a new field. Should label it like the "heroes of mining" fund or something so it's an easier pill to swallow. b. Subsidize or do w/e the fuck we need to do to bring more manufacturing jobs back to the US. While Trump failed at it, this was one of his few talking points I could actually get behind. I do think it's high on stupid that we are buying SO MANY products from outside the US when they could be made here. I don't expect every job to be here, but the disparity is pretty extreme.
