So like I really want to be happy about the idea of giving up on this misguided dumpster fire of a war but at the same time it's Trump and he doesn't do anything good so I'm unable to feel good about. Also this would be contingent upon the Biden admin staying committed to the withdrawal timetable I suppose.

Which is why retrenchment is a bad idea. We should honor commitments to allies like the Kurd and stabilize the region before we even consider a draw-down.
