I'm assuming that was the link to the audio of the court hearing. The person said they didn't know recording the audio wasn't allowed so they deleted it. There's another link and I listened to it at work, it's not really that interesting. Just ol' Sidney reciting her usual trash for 20 minutes followed by a judge being like "wtf no the election is over you crazy".

Texas, via their State AG Ken Paxton, is suing Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia and Michigan in the US Supreme Court seeking to invalidate their election results. People are suspecting this is just a sycophantic play for Paxton to get a pardon from Trump due to his being under investigation for crimes. No this suit won't succeed or go anywhere but the fact that any inane legal challenges are being patronized with no penalty or backlash for the Republicans is enraging. In one paragraph they actually cite the Daily Mail story.

@17:00 On the subject of "Can the president pardon himself?" TLDR: Maybe, it's never really been brought to the test of courts and it would depend on how the supreme court interprets a potential pardon review. If the SCOTUS chose not to review it, the next presidential admin could pursue federal crimes against the former and when protesting that he was pardoned it would become a case that would very likely elevate to a SCOTUS review.

Granted that A.) Biden publicly calls for unity and most suspect won't be eager to pursue punishing Trump but perhaps people acting on his behalf would. B.) Even if it did go to SCOTUS it's now mostly Republicans and Trump appointees so would they be partisan. If a president is allowed to pardon themselves then they're basically untouchable except by impeachment which congress never seems to have an appetite for. Is that something SCOTUS would be willing to let Trump, the most undeserving of bastards, to get away with as a trade of to allow ALL future presidents to be above the law?
