I think there's a possibility, it relies on the GOP wholesale abandoning Trumpism (unlikely)

Cruz has very clearly been trying to set up some kind of identity the last few years. He's trying to be the snarky hip Republican that attracts young people. Don't think it'll work, but clearly doing it for a reason.

I could make cases for any of those 3 choices for multiple people on the list with four years to go.

I do see the Trumps fronting Ivanka before either of the boys in a return to the WH.

Sure, as Trump's new first lady when he runs again in 2024.

Ex-cop hits truck thinking it held 750,000 fraudulent ballots, police say. It held air conditioning parts.

David Lopez-Zuniga, an air-conditioner installer, had just left his mobile home for his typical predawn commute when he noticed an SUV’s headlights closely trailing his small cargo truck.

Within seconds, the SUV swerved alongside the passenger’s side, striking the truck and forcing Lopez-Zuniga to the side of a highway. There, he said, the SUV’s driver feigned an injury before ordering Lopez-Zuniga to the ground at gunpoint.

“I was very scared,” Lopez-Zuniga, said in an interview with The Washington Post. “I didn’t know who this person was.”

As it turned out, the incident was the extraordinary culmination of a misguided undercover surveillance operation — financed by a conservative nonprofit group and carried out by private investigators — that sought to uncover a massive election fraud scheme before the November election.

Police said that Lopez-Zuniga, 39, was the victim of a bogus conspiracy theory alleging he was involved in transporting 750,000 mail-in ballots fraudulently signed by Hispanic children whose fingerprints could not be traced.

After an investigation into the Oct. 19 incident, authorities last week charged the SUV’s driver — who is a private investigator and former Houston police captain — with assault with a deadly weapon. The private investigator, 63-year-old Mark A. Aguirre, pleaded not guilty on Friday. His lawyer says the case is politically motivated.

    More on this guy.

Mark Anthony Aguirre, told police he was part of a group of private citizens investigating claims of the massive fraud allegedly funded by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and involving election ballots forged by Hispanic children.

Aguirre's scheme was reportedly part of a paid investigation by the Liberty Center group, whose CEO is Republican activist Steven Hotze. It was later discovered that Aguirre was paid $266,400 by the organization for this involvement.

The Houston Chronicle says Aguirre was fired from the police department in 2003 after a controversial raid at a Houston Kmart parking lot.

Liberty Center for God and Country's Facebook page says the organization's goal "is to provide the bold and courageous leadership necessary to restore our nation to its Godly heritage by following the strategy that our pilgrim forefathers gave us."

Steven Hotze went on to say that he had raised more than $600,000 over a three-week period leading up to Nov. 1 "to hire private investigators and attorneys to discover, expose and disrupt the Democrats' massive election fraud scheme in Harris County."

Three days before the attack, Aguirre contacted law enforcement with his allegations of the alleged fraud. He called Lt. Wayne Rubio in the Texas Office of the Attorney General for a traffic stop to help in his investigation — a request Rubio denied. Concerned with Aguirre's claims that he would "handle" the situation himself, Rubio contacted police.

Aguirre was also rebuffed when he contacted the Texas Rangers and the Texas Department of Public Safety. Prosecutors say Aguirre decided to take matters into his own hands.

The raid that got him fired.

Aguirre, 47, said he did nothing wrong and violated no rules or department policies when he embarked on the sweep, designed to crack down on racing enthusiasts and spectators clogging west Houston parking lots. Aguirre also said HPD's administration had approved plans for the operation, but scapegoated officers when the controversy became a political firestorm.

The August 2002 sweep in the 8400 block of Westheimer yielded 278 arrests, mostly for trespassing and curfew violations, none related to racing. A smaller raid the night before led to 25 arrests outside a nearby restaurant. All charges were dropped after HPD was deluged with complaints and lawsuits.

The Republicans revealed more evidence of voter fraud today. A man who requested absentee ballots for his dead mother and mother-in-law.

"The man behind those applications, Bruce Bartman, now faces two felony counts of perjury, as well as one count of unlawful voting for successfully casting an absentee ballot for President Donald Trump in the name of Elizabeth Bartman, his long-dead mother."

To be fair, there is a certain amount of anti-immigration sentiment from people in the immigrant community. It doesn't really make sense, except to the extent all humans are selfish.

Yeah being in NY where I've been exposed to a lot of these people most of my life, I'm not really surprised. Really comes down to religion and the desire to integrate to not be other'd. Been happening since forever if you have a good enough grasp on history.

I grew up most of my childhood in a small town full of Mexicans. The difference in immigration opinions from 2nd generation and 3rd was MASSIVE.

It’s mostly Cubans and confused Puerto Rican’s/Nuyoricans. Northeast jersey and NYC are filled with them.
