I'm suggesting that the uptick on usage does coincide with this season. A seasonal challenge and a featured seasonal weapon. The Xeno build has been long popular, but not popular enough for them to address an increased gun usage.

yeah a couple of different leaks and it's been a bit muddy as far as when they were actually created. one purportedly 'predicted' some of the Chosen stuff I think, but the actual document could only be traced back to shortly before Splicer began, and some of the stuff that's right could have been educated guesses. The season name is a pretty big thing to get right though, and one or more leaks apparently said a ritual launcher plus trials weapon reissuing, so a lot more credibility now, although definitely wouldn't take any of them as 100% gospel. If they are as old as they claim for example some of the information is based on stuff that may have changed in development etc. Also have to assume that the info is secondhand at best, very unlikely it's straight from an employee (current or former), common theory is an ex-employee (there's a line bashing DeeJ hence disgruntlement) told a friend who wrote up the leaks, but that's obviously just speculation.
