I remember reading about a group studying population growth and they ended up saying that it wasn't going to be a problem. As the population grew, and resources for education also grew, there would be a plateau followed by a decline.

I think we have come to the point where having children isn't financially obtainable for a lot of people, so the only children being born are often Oops babies. At some point, if de-population does start to be a problem, it is easy to give incentives for people that want kids but can't afford it (Daycare, free education, etc). De-population right now in America is because of the wealth gap and education. The left wants to fix the wealth gap, while the right wants to "Fix" education.
