Anyone else felt like the conversation about Tori between Fessy and Cory felt completely out of place? Almost as if it was edited in from long ago right after she was eliminated.

I was more focused on how slimy the whole thing was, so I didn't notice that vibe, but maybe. Wouldn't be the first time they've shown things way out of context or out of order to fit some narrative though. He's just a shy introvert, who's gonna steal your girl. Who's gonna do something about it? Nacho bitch ass!

This looks like a real season to me, complete with TJ getting snippy, Katie getting sassy, Beth being Beth, people cuddling, and people rubbing themselves all over ice blocks.

Thoughts on doing fantasy? Unless we all have Paramount Plus, it is kind of hard to watch. There's a few more details on Us Weekly, but not important info like how many episodes. Also, I think Paramount Plus shows come out weekly and not all at once, but I don't know for sure. I would think that a weekly show might work for fantasy, whereas a "watch all at once" show would be pretty dull.

I would propose we wait until we see how this first season goes prior to jumping into Fantasy. If there's a second season, we could analyze it then. Plus, pretty sure Double Agents will still be going on at that point, so there will be some overlap.

Fine with holding off on fantasy for it though. I don't have paramount+ so will have to use unscrupulous means to watch

Also, other shows previously on All Access and the current Real World thing are a weekly thing, so that wouldn't have been an issue. Gotta keep those subscriptions running!

I get their strategy, though. That 30 day free trial doesn't work if you have shows that someone can binge all at once. All Stars is what is going to get me to subscribe, though. I also want to watch The Stand, and haven't seen Picard yet, so there's a few reasons for me to get it. I'm a believer in paying for services (and am lucky enough to be able to afford it without issue), so I'll likely be pulling the trigger on 4/1. Whether I stay around afterwards or not, I don't know. If they can keep Challenge shows coming at a steady pace, I would likely be in, and probably forget to cancel. I still have HBO Max even though Game of Thrones, The Leftovers, and Watchmen have been over for ages. I also want to check out the Real World: NY reunion show.

I doubt we'll get nudity, but I'm sure we'll hear lots of bad words. I, for one, am here for it.

Alton hasn't aged a day. Arissa looks way too skinny, like unhealthily so. Beth also still looks great. Kelly Anne is missing half her nose, I think; I couldn't have picked her out of a lineup if I didn't know it was her. Mark Long is an executive producer of the show and a contestant, which I'm not a big fan of; we get enough production interference on the show as it is. Trishelle still looks like someone I want to see naked. A couple of people look like they've put on quite a bit of weight since we last saw them, but I'm actually glad that wasn't a criteria of bringing them back.

Aneesa and Darrell also haven't aged a day since we last saw them. Ba dump tsss.

EDIT: Sorry about the different sizing of the photos, not sure why it did that, but hey, whatever.

So, let's see...

Fessy kicks his partner in her face, causing her to lose her oxygen. Then he tries to drown her. After it's over, he talks about how his partner got them disqualified, but he'd still like to run a final with her. Later, dude talks about how she couldn't get the job done. What a team player! It cracks me up that it didn't take Nany long to realize that Fessy sucks. Some of you will say that she makes bad decisions, which makes her terrible at the game, so she shouldn't keep getting cast. I say that she makes horrible decisions, which makes her incapable of winning, but there's something so imperfectly human in the disaster of her journeys which is why I'd take 10 Nanys over most of the types that they cast for this now.

Was I imagining things, or did TJ play it up like the winner was either Leroy/Kaycee or Kam/CT only to be like "nah, Aneesa/Kyle won"? I'm sitting here thinking "great job, Lee!" and then Teej does him dirty.

It was nice that they actually gave Darrell some time to talk this episode. There's that scene with him talking to Leroy and then you juxtapose it with Kyle having a tantrum a few weeks back about CT. Darrell got a bad draw with that though. That's a really good elimination for Cory. lol @ 3x the tension on the rope. Ok, TJ. Whatever you say. Better that than just digging holes in the sand forever though.

As much as Kyle is a troll about things, he doesn't always have bad ideas. You start this episode off with Aneesa talking about how the pair of her and Kyle are going to be seeing as enticing options... and then she won't take a skull out of circulation, which would be a huge relief when you're not even the bottom rung on the ladder. She sits there all season talking about how she wants to win. "It's not an actual final." What do you want to actually get done this season, Aneesa?

Remember back when Kyle and Nany both turned on each other in like the 2nd episode? They really should have just stuck it out, or at least waited longer to determine it was a total bust.

So uh Darrell and Amber B voting Leroy was stupid, they effectively threw away their votes

Knowing that the vote would be split, because you know cory will vote for himself, they should've also voted for cory. And cory should have been lobbying Fessy to vote for him since they're "pals"

Was ready to bitch about how terrible tug of war challenges are. Instead we got one that lasted about 10 seconds total, so yay for slow motion of a guy running faster than another guy? Imagine how much more compelling the ring jump challenge would've been for these two. Smh MTV, waste of a great matchup

Amber B lucked out getting to go rogue for the last week and presumably being safe. Assuming we'll see Big T v Aneesa next week

I of course was hoping that kyle won for maximum drama so TJ surprised me as well

Aneesa wearing a Star of David in confessional? Is she Jewish?

When hasn't she worn it? I think she even wears it over her clothes if her neckline is covered up. There was an episode probably a long time back, when in a single fight someone went after at least 2 out of 3 of Aneesa's race, sexuality, and religion.

Wasn't until Xno's post that I realized that nobody's defended their skull this season successfully. Pretty sure there will be some, and I don't expect anything to change except a "good for you"/extra stupid skull on their helmet. If there were only one round left til the finale, I feel like they'd have made a bigger deal out of it with the narrative, or at least with the preview.

If CT and Big T managed to win this season, that would just be god damned perfect reality TV.

He's probably banking on her losing next week or wanting to pick someone else. Whatever he said/however he acted was just for the cameras knowing how much of an ass he made a week before that. And maybe it took that CT incident for Cory to learn what to do, but he handled the situation the right way.
