I keep hearing all of Canada getting their full vaccination by the end of September. But it's getting harder and harder to believe. Maybe if the AZ thing gets cleared up and we start receiving J&J vaccines it'll amp up more. And supposedly Pfizer and Moderna shipments are supposed to keep amping up more and more, especially this month.

But again, I'll believe it when I see it and I feel it getting pumped into my arm

My boss (soon to be ex-boss because I'm quitting) lied to HR and said that he wasn't in close contact with us last week. I literally sat in a conference room and ate lunch with him for an hour.

I want to take legal actions against him if possible because he's a fucking scumbag. Is there anything I could do? The HR lady I spoke with admitted that they asked him if he was in close contact with anyone and he said no.

Only thing I've had since getting the second Pfizer shot yesterday was some soreness at the injection site this morning that went away as soon as I got to work. Nothingburger so far.

Los Angeles county residents have been flocking to Cal State University Bakersfield to get vaccinated the past 2 weeks. The site opened up vaccination to all 16 and older because the site has more vaccines than appointments being filled. Walk-ins without appointments are being accepted for now - currently accounts for 2/3rds of all daily vaccinations at the site. Many young people say the 4+ hour round trip is worth it and all will have to do it again to get their second shots.

Rebuttal: Define close contact? Within 6 feet? Physically touching? Too fuzzy an area that will let him slip away. I don't believe anything really illegal happened - shitty ethics lapses for sure. If he knowingly spread COVID maliciously then perhaps.

CDC definition of close contact is 15 minutes of exposure within 6 feet of an individual. Risk increases in a closed indoor setting.

Nothing illegal happened though. If the company's contact tracing policy requires truthful compliance, then that's an HR issue which could include reprimands. If he shuts down the site for being a super spreader, then likely harsher consequences.
