Bad news for society but good news for people who live near Oklahoma.

40% having one dose is not where we want our vaccination rate to top out.

I wouldn't be so sure on that. It just says 40% have the first dose and that they have more supply than demand. This could mean that they just have that much extra and they are expecting the 40% to still rise but they have enough to account for that.

Anyone have more info? I could see it going either way.

Does that factor in Tribal Populations though? Because Tribes have had their own supplies and have been a lot better than the State on Vax rollout, which is the only reason we are at 40%+ right now

tribal lands potentially have a different system (they could either opt in to state distribution or through IHS)

However:

Specific amounts of COVID-19 vaccine doses are made available (allocated) to jurisdictions* based on the number of people 18 years or older in the jurisdiction in proportion to the entire U.S. population.

If this is happening because there's severe overflow from IHS somehow, then maybe we aren't fucked. Otherwise, right now they are at 16+ any state so that's pretty much as open as it gets and indicates they have shots they don't think they can use before they expire.

So both me and my other roommate with 1 dose got negative tests in the past week. We got tested because I had that cold or whatever.

My roommate who has been fully vaxxed for a couple months was having smelling issues and got tested and popped hot. Wtf?? D:
