Still saltly i didn't get anything from the last one, not that I needed it as I'm in the same boat as you. That said, I do have a neighbour who lost their income to COVID, and because of what he made last year isn't getting help. Guy works with a small base salary, with commission and he had a few really good years. People like him are falling through the cracks. He does have a great support system with family and neighbour's, but i'm sure there are people like him just getting ass fucked.

Shameless plug for my cousin (pharmacist at a rural hospital), but it's a good explanation of the new vaccine and how it differs from other types of vaccines. To be honest, I only knew about the dead virus type, and now mRNA, so the others were new info to me.

Just found out yesterday that my second cousin on my mother's side, her husband, and their three young children all have it. They are young and healthy so I hope they can get better fast without any lasting side effects. No word on how they got it but she in an RN so she probably got it from work. They are such a nice couple and their kids are adorable. Shit sucks.

If it helps ease your mind any, my Grandma tested positive a little over 2 weeks ago and hasn't developed symptoms(Yet?), my Aunt/Uncle who presumably got it the same time as grandma both got symptoms and recovered, didn't go to the Hospital. Moms friend also got it at one point, got sick as a dog, but didn't need hospitalization and is doing fine now.

It can absolutely fuck you up but who knows, they might get lucky :\

Husband has a fever and generally feels bad but that's as much as I heard.

My Mom's side of the family always has a big get together around Christmas. They said no go this time cause their not stupid. Even when their isn't a pandemic someone almost always comes away with something from those gatherings because there are so many people. Someone brought their kid that had the sniffles, but didn't think it was the cold, kind of thing. Still, I'm going to miss it. It's already been over a year sinse I have seen any of my Uncles, Cousins, etc. in person. I wish they had done a Zoom thing but it would probably crash everybody's computer lol.
