caught up, show is p decent but don't care for how they handle the xenomorph itself. always liked it most as an apex ambush predator type beasty not the fail to kill named characters by goofing around / glare intimidatingly in the distance.
synths and cyborgs are carrying rn, shoutout to lil eyeball lass
Morrow is the scariest thing on the show at the moment.
ye Morrow and Olyphant's character are the best things the show got going out atm
And TEMUthy Chalmet is a great "I HATE this fucker" performance.
Alien: Earth? More like Alien: Negligence amirite
Spoiler: show
can't wait for the final episode and all the chaos
this has not been a good show
oof madone this last ep was rough. the plot has been driven by idiocy throughout but it got to comically bad contrivances to move the characters into the place the writers wanted them to be. still some good character work, science bro had a nice final monologue, Olyphant remains goated, but mostly at the stage characters and logic and pacing are being sacrificed at the altar of plot.
we started as a homage to Alien and became a homage to Prometheus i guess
Probably one of the worst fucking finales I've ever had to suffer through. Holy fuck. Worse than dogshit
hilarious, cant even really say anything else except i hope it gets no season 2
king of suck balls mountain, honestly impressive how poorly they failed to wrap up basically any plotline and i guess the singular one they did in the kids breaking badish was contrived hamfisted doggerel
ah well at least Romulus was fun and in keeping with the franchise it must oscillate between p good and unwatchable
That finale was trash.. what a downhill ride this show has been =/
This is what happens when a proof of concept is essentially done as a season.
The pieces are there, I have some interest in a second season, but it's been a mixed bag with the early episodes being the superior ones.

Speaking as someone who wasn't a fan of the children sub-plot (or is it the actual main plot?), this went from bad to worse. Started out promising despite my grievances with the children, but all the interesting things that could have been done with this kind of plot and this is what we ended up with.
Wanted xenomorphs and the other cool dudes from space gradually wrecking society, instead I got a bunch of emotionally stunted children in adult bodies breaking bad with the usual "chosen one"-plot where the popular eponymous villain creature ends up being an ally to whoever the writers thought I would be rooting for, on top of the super-special kid getting new powers as the plot demands. By the end, I had maybe two characters left I actually liked.
God, it's like someone watched Netflix's RE series and the SH2 movie and took the absolute worst from both. Was this marketed towards teenagers? If it was, then by all means, enjoy the plot, but it sure isn't for me.
Finally renewed. Not sure what took so long. Maybe waiting to see how Badlands did?
I’m going to give season two exactly one episode to show it can pull off something better than it had. Season one definitely had its moments, it’s just aside from the first episode, most of those moments did not involve the kids and the xenomorph. The entire first season should have taken place on the crashed ship.
