Lars Mikkelsen really doesn't look anything like how Thrawn has typically been portrayed. Someone like Benedict Cumberbatch would have been more in line with how he appeared in Rebels or the old Heir to the Empire books

But Mikkelsen voiced him in Rebels so it makes sense to have him portray him in live action

Possibly but they got that Ashoka/Mando/Boba Fett/Republic Rangers team up movie in the pipeline so also maybe not. Pretty sure they want that to be an Avengers level team up movie so would make sense to keep the major players around for it

No way they kill off fan favorites from the cartoon show. This is star wars and Disney, not AMC and the walking dead. I'll believe it when I see it. Look at what happened when they killed Luke, Leia, and Solo.
