Don't forget random 8/6/2 plus or minus any direction to make it specific to Gianna.

In a sweep maybe, if they pick up a win that belongs to Elgin Baylor

Baylor averaged 40.6 in the 1962 NBA Finals and they lost to the Celtics.

Most points while getting swept was Bron with 34 in 2018

Let me tell you why he's bad, actually
I want to like the guy but he has so many glaring weaknesses that I can’t help but cringe every time you try to compare him to the most skilled players of all time

The man has all the physical tools to dominate the modern nba yet he doesn’t have a single reliable post move or jump shot

The dude just runs around and gets 30 points a game imagine if he actually learned how to play basketball

The whole point of Giannis' exceptionalism isn't that he can do some things as well as all time greats, it's that he can do things that all-time greats couldn't.

If he could do thesw things on top of playing fundamental back to the basket post up basketball, he would be a lock to go down as a top 10 player ever.

But he's trying to be a shooter that he obviously never will be.

Or Hakeem. Or KG. He just needs to stop trying to shoot 3s. He can't play towards KD/Curry, he needs to play towards those post players he's so different from.

I get going at Archi for posting the stats he does, cause even I sometimes have a good exhale out the nose when I see it, but are we pretending Giannis wouldn't finish as an all time great if he continued to play the same way and produced the same exact stats just to mess with Archi? Just cause some of his supporting cast, and possibly his coach, are shitting it up doesn't mean he himself isn't great in this moment. If he was with LeBron, or like the Warriors, and being his usual self, they would be destroying teams.

I guess you could still go at him with the "no skill" thing, but if he's putting the ball in the basket on high efficiency, what's the problem? That's basketball. No skill, but teams still can't stop him?

Or I'm missing the point of these posts lol

a Giannis that could drive by anyone big enough to muscle him and muscle anyone fast enough to keep up with him down low would be something.

i think it's definitely gotten to the point of bad Reddit memery, Giannis is becoming underrated if anything, but he is unquestionably limited in terms of technical skill outside of driving and passing. he is an excellent finisher around the rim, and a gifted passer on the drive, but his lack of shooting or ability to punish smaller defenders in the post really limits his impact in certain matchups. he was very not good re individual scoring against the Raptors 2 years ago when Kawhi went on him, and struggled equally badly against Butler against last year's Heat (and this year's for that matter but it didn't matter since the Heat sucked). and with his limited ability to create his own shot in the half-court most clutch play devolves to Middleton when the game is tight late.

the hating gets to be too much, but for two years in a row this was the league's best regular season team and they choked in the postseason largely because of Giannis's limits. very different players but kind of a James Harden situation. not every team can gameplan him, but the ones that can are gonna shut him down and his team is gonna underperform.

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it was a personnel thing on stopping him and not so much teams not trying hard enough.

And to clarify my stance, I'm not saying that he shouldn't try to get better, cause obviously all the greats should keep working on their game, but it seems to take a specific group of guys to stop him. And if his teammates were just a little better, or shot a little better, his numbers might be fine in those match ups and then you see a bit less of disrespect.

But yeah, if he wants to win with these guys or not have to rely on them as much, he's gotta work on some stuff.

If he finishes his career this way and never develops a fix to his post season game and doesn't win a ring, he doesn't finish in the top 10.

Like I don't think Barkley, as good as he was, does either.

Without a ring there are easily ten or more players ahead of him that have one. In no particular order you've got Jordan, Kobe, James, Magic, Bird, Kareem, Duncan, Shaq, Curry, Durant, West, Hakeem, Russell, Wilt, Kawhi who are all before him still.

Then you also have the ring less Stockton, Malone, Barkley...

Why can't the guy with 10 30/10 games and counting this postseason fix his postseason game?

He's 26 years old and the only active player with more MVPs is LeBron.

What are we talking about right now.

He could, but he seems determined to launch 3's instead of developing a back to the basket post game.

And like he's known he's needed to add to his game for a while.

My phone auto corrects to Gianna because of my niece and it is regularly used here. I don't do it for anyone else.

Also I think he's great and I love him.

I just pick on the cherry picking stats Archie does with him and a-aron. He'll post some statline no one has ever had before, but if you add a block and subtract a free throw then like 50 players have done it 20 times each.

I'd put Malone, Barkley, and Stockton ahead of Kawhi. Hell id put Ginobilli ahead of Kawhi
