i dont see how the niners have any shot of getting one of the top three qbs considering there's like 7 teams in the top 10 that could realistically want to draft a new qb. teams like denver have more draft capital to trade away simply because all their picks are better, and will probably be better next year too

They realistically don't unless something bizzare happens to make someone fall, or they take on a project.

Honestly injuries were our biggest issue. Jimmy may be boom or bust but I'm sure there's a minimum of 10-12 teams that would have gladly changed their starter for Jimmy if they had the chance. Fix up the defense and WR corps in the draft and just run this team out. It's too talented as it is to try to tank. Even with the fact the NFC west is probably going to be a bloodbath again next year.

the top 5 edge rushers make 20m-27m a year
the top 5 linebackers make 14m-18m a year

teams value the young/bosa/garrett/etc prospects way higher than every other non-qb prospect... almost doubly so. that's why there's one drafted in the top 3 almost every year. its just how the nfl works
